Breaking Goals Down into Bite-Sized Pieces

Since I'm on a quest to make $60,000 a year, I need to break that down into smaller pieces.

$60,000 a year is also

$5,000 a month

$1,155 a week

or $231 a day if I only work 5 days a week. Of course, at the moment, I am in the habit of working 7 days a week, so if I worked 7 days a week, I would need to make $165 a day to meet my goal.

Now, if I backtrack and look at $1,155 a week as a 40 hour week, I would need to consistently be able to make $28.88 an hour to be able to stay home full-time.

Is that an impossible dream? I know it's not. I know there are a lot of scammers out there, people who advertise they make five figures a month, then confess in the forums that they are struggling to rub two nickels together.

I also know there are people that are really and truly successful, like Rosalind Gardner, who wrote in her Super Affiliate Handbook several years ago how she made over $400,000 a year as an affiliate. I read recently that she now makes over a million dollars annually. To learn more about Rosalind, Click Here!

What I trust and believe with all my heart is that if Rosalind can make over a million dollars annually, I can make $60K.

I also know that kind of goal will take time.

My goal for the month of December is to make $200. If I can achieve that goal, then I can double that goal for the following month. Actually if I could attain and double my goal every month, I'd meet my goal of $5,000 a month in six months!

For now, my goal is somewhat modest. I aim to make $200 in the next 30 days.

MY JOURNEY TO WORK AT HOME

I am on a journey to work at home. Actually I already do work at home, but I also have a full-time job. My website is http://www.work-at-home-parenting.com..

I have decided to start a blog to chronicle my journey to pursue working at home full-time. I've been hearing a lot of people say that stating your goals on a blog makes you accountable. One great example of a blog where goals are publicly set and achieved is http://www.projectwahm.com.

I figured out that I need to make $60,000 a year to be able to quit my job. I am the head of my household. I have two daughters and a granddaughter and my husband is seriously ill. For that reason, I have to make sure I am making enough for adequate insurance coverage.

I want to work from home full-time more than anything. Whenever I have to ask permission to take my husband to the doctor (which is often) it makes my stomach churn. It breaks my heart that I can't be there when my daughter gets off the bus in the afternoon.

My website is 12 months old. I made less than I hoped in my first year, but some income is starting to trickle in. Almost all the money I made in my first year was made from writing. I write stories for confession magazines. I have also done some writing for other websites. Since I figured out that writing for money is what is working for me, that will be my primary focus as I lay out a plan to increase my income.

I have written a special report which focuses on writing for money and am just putting on the finishing touches. I met someone in The Warrior Forum. who is going to do an ecover for me at a reasonable price, since I am graphically challenged. Assuming I am happy with his work, I will publish a link to his site here.

Today begins my journey to making a serious plan to find a way to work from home full-time. Can a person make $60,000 from home? How long will it take me to accomplish this goal? Join me on my journey.
